How we verify deaths

A tool enters the graveyard only when we can link a primary source: an official shutdown announcement, or credible independent coverage of one. Where we can, we also check the product's own domain for a 404 or shutdown notice. Date precision is stated honestly — a day when sources give one, a month when they don't, and "announced" when only the announcement is dated. Every entry carries the date we last verified it. Rebrands, pivots, and acquisitions where the product lives on do not count as deaths; discontinued products whose team or code survives elsewhere do, and the note says where they went.

Spotted an error, a resurrection, or a shutdown we missed? Email hello@aitrendtool.com with a source link and we will correct the record.
